Occupational Therapy - Paediatric

Occupational Therapy Services can provide:

• Advice
• Assessment
• Therapy
• Home/School programs
• Education for families and professionals
• Liaison with other agencies involved ( preschool, school, doctors, maternal and child health nurse)

Paediatric Occupational Therapy provides assessment & therapy service for children aged 0-17 years. Children may be referred because of difficulties in one or more of the following areas:

• Self care, eg. Dressing, feeding, bathing, toileting.
• Fine motor skills, eg. cutting drawing.
• Gross motor skills, whole body movements, eg. Running, jumping, kicking a ball.
• School skills, eg. Handwriting, concentrating, mixing with other children.
