Emergency Relief Service

This service provides assistance to individuals and families in the Shire of Nillumbik who are experiencing financial hardship. The service includes information, referral, advocacy, financial assistance and food parcel referrals (through Eltham Foodshare).

Community health staff and trained volunteers will provide direct assistance where possible or locate the best source of help available in a relaxed and non judgmental atmosphere.

Positive identification in the form of a Health Care Card or Drivers Licence is required to show proof of residential address, and also a Medicare Card if there are other family members.

Residents of Eltham, Eltham North, Research, Diamond Creek and North Warrandyte can access the service at Nillumbik Community Health Service.
