Oral Health Program
The Early Childhood Oral Health Program and School Dental Services are now provided by Nillumbik Community Health Service to residents of Nillumbik and surrounding areas.
Early Childhood Oral Health
- Cares for all Pre-School children from 0-5 years of age with no waiting list for examinations or treatment.
School Dental
- Cares for primary school aged children and all children enrolled in a Special or Special Development School.
- Care is offered every two years. Children with high dental needs are seen every 12 months or less.
Youth Dental
- Holders of Pension Concession Cards or Health Care Cards for students in years 7-12 and for school leavers under the age of 18 years.
- There is no waiting list to access this program and is free of charge.
Medicare Teen Dental Plan
- Dental examinations, diagnostic & preventative treatment
- Eligible young people between 12-17 years of age of holders of Pension Concession Card or Health Care Card
- Teenagers need to present with a voucher issued by Medicare
- Medicare bulk billed
Fees for Service
- There is a $28.00 fee for a general course of care for Pre School and Primary School Aged Children who do not hold a Health Care Card or Pension Concession Card.
Children that are dependants of Concession Card holders are treated free.

Victoria.For adults
18 and over who are health care card holders, health benefits card holders
or pensioner concession card holders.There is
a waiting list for general treatment.There is
a co-payment for dental services. Conservative
treatment;

Prosthetic
Treatment (Dentures);
- partial
and full dentures
- relines
- mouthguards
- splints
Contracted
restorative services - VEDS; VGDS Contracted
prosthetic services - VDS Emergency
appointments are available but limited. Referrals for
specialist care are made to the Royal Dental Hospital (including GA's). Waiting
lists apply to all services.
